Cultivation installations are such installations in which several or many meteorological elements are controlled. Growing crops in cultivation installations is a necessity, on one hand, for producing seedlings, and, on the other hand, for overcoming the seasonality in production and consumption of fresh plant produce.

Greenhouses:
These cultivation installations protect the plants, as well as the employees.
• Cold polyethylene greenhouses. The protective effect of the tunnel is used.
• Heated polyethylene greenhouses. Plant beds, heated with biofuel, or technical heating, steam or hot water, are used.
• Steel-and-glass greenhouses. This type of greenhouses is most often constructed in conjunction with a considerably larger area and several factors are controlled:
- Heat--through technical heating
- Heat and light--through technical heating and additional lightning for the extension of the winter days
- Heat, light, and moisture --through additional irrigation
